#OctPoWriMo: Prompt 16 : Paradelle
Whew,
wow ! Oh, how I loved this exercise. I just cannot believe that I am trying new
poetry forms every other day and learning so much from these wonderful
experiences. This one was really tricky, tried my best to follow the prompt,
but sadly was unable to keep up in the last stanza. Would like to post this
though and share.
Exhausted, I lay enveloped in the lap
of nature,
Exhausted, I lay enveloped in the lap
of nature,
Seeking peace for the troubled
architecture (mind),
Seeking peace for the troubled
architecture (mind),
Exhausted, the troubled architecture (mind)
– I ,
Lay enveloped, seeking peace, in the
lap of nature.
The flora bent to help me recover,
The flora bent to help me recover,
As if its nature’s turn to discover,
As if its nature’s turn to discover,
The flora bent to help, discover,
As if it’s me – nature’s turn, to
recover.
The sun embalming the environ,
The sun embalming the environ,
With its golden rays of hope and
expectation,
With its golden rays of hope and
expectation,
Hope – it’s the sun, embalming the
environ,
And with golden rays of expectation.
The embalming nature helped me
discover,
The flora, the sun, the golden rays,
The troubled, exhausted architecture (mind)
lay enveloped,
In hope and expectation,
Seeking peace in the environ,
It’s my turn to live again!
