Expectation

Best education, excellent upbringing,
A successful entrepreneur now,
But unable to meet the expectations of the heart
Since the mind ruled all along the coveted path,
Far away from a place called Home!
But.....did they understand?
That every moment the memories haunted
As the Sun kissed the horizon distant
A lonely soul stood still, tears welled up
Failed to find a way out, this relentless grief,
Of being away from Family,
The very essence of her being,
The fulcrum of her existence,
How could she ever forget ?
The wonderful cognizance of childhood,adolescence,
Now, she lay chained with responsibilities of work,
Deadlines to me met, meetings imminent
Of promises made and expected to be kept,
But....would they understand in the end ?
