Balanced Equation

A bolt from the blue!
Opened my eyes to a stranger hue. ....
In the middle of a race..
The race of life till the finish 
"But when did I begin?"the mind quizzed
Lost...all upside down amidst the din
The chaos of routine 
The endless chores,meaningless at times! 
Rising, falling , out of breath, panting
The mind races but the heart pauses,
A comma, a moment to ponder,
What about the precious seconds lost
In the efforts Culminated 
Into 
Balancing the equation, the endless endeavor? 
When did my parents become old?
When did my little brother grow up?
When did my childhood become memories? 
When did I last spent time with my friends? 
Oh! The grains of sand slipped unseen 
Through the fingers of time unlived, 
The tired eyes stare back at me,
My reflection , I fail to comprehend
The equation....still remains imbalanced!

It was love at first sight,
Years ago,they had met that dreamy night,
The preface was written,the beginning. ...a bit uneven, 
All odds admitted defeat at their devotion unique, 
But ironical fate laughed in silence, 
The story unfolded in another dimension, 
The night was dead, frozen,Insipid, 
Devoid of all emotions ,dull,languid, 
The night of their separation. ...forever from each other! 
Every single day,hour,minute,second hence,
Her heart beat only for him,since
The night returned like a bolt from the blue,
The same night,insane,cold,Fossilized! 
When their paths crossed again!
But the destinations were different this time, 
His...with the beautiful family, happy,pristine 
Hers....along the same melancholic path,
Surely,he was a victim of circumstance. ...
Her heart chirped with empathy, 
She IS in love with him for eternity, 
Wished him well,be blessed with prosperity, 
While she felt glad at his destiny,

Witnessing this from the alcove above

Quest!

The trees singing with the wind

Swaying their branches in glee

The crystal clear sky dotted

With dollops of clouds floating by

The earth blanketed with grass

As soft as silk to the touch

The air thick with the fragrance of blossomed flowers

Dancing and playing with the bees

The heart is aflutter with gaiety

At the spectacle of so much beauty

Nature at its best!

Blessed is the soul in such a quest!

Because change is constant!

Myriad thoughts went for a stroll
Down the memory lane
Bumped into a tree standing tall
The branches bejeweled with cognizance
Of my childhood framed meticulously
Swinging in rhythm, dancing in the air,
Bewildered I stare !
Seemed like a long time
The moments sepian, now!
Yearned for belonging to that time, once again!
Cherished the fairy - taled nights
In the warmth of love and care
Where the wrinkly smile spoke of experiences
Stories so rare!
But,they say ....
Change is constant. ...be aware!

Drenched.....in Love!

Cool breeze brushed against

Embraced the agitated heated walls

Of brick, mortar and pestle

Nimbus clouds gathered

The environ wore a look romantic

The first kiss of the droplets

Of the first shower of the season

Sent shivers down the walls of the building

Shivers of joy, Adrenalin rush

It blushed with cupid’s touch

Love evoked sentiments unknown
