Salvaging Emotions

Salvaging emotions
Memories echoing
In the empty halls,
The air stale with dust
Accumulated over ages and ages hence,
I stand alone, aloft,
The winged desires
Mock the desolate chambers,
Ashen hued against the crimson horizon,
Somewhere distant , a tear drop tinkles,
Shattering the silence,
Like a thunderstorm rampant,
An owl hoots,
A cricket joins the chorus,
Beautiful is the night,
Bathed in silver moonlight,
Silence heaves a sigh
At the spectacle ,
In delight!
